3-Year-Old Preschool had a surprise visit from the Cat in the Hat (FM’s Librarian Mrs. Wake). She read
Dr. Seuss’s “Horton Hatches an Egg”. The preschoolers loved it!
FM’s School Nurse Erika Mitchell told the first graders about the importance of taking care of their teeth. She also gave them a bag to take home to help them with this. Thanks Mrs. Mitchell for telling them the “tooth” about tooth care!
Midlands Reading VP announced the winners of their poetry contest. Fifth grade winners were Raif Wederquist - 1st place, Dean Schoening - 2nd, and Tayleigh James - 3rd. Sixth grade winners were Keyanna Haggerty - 1st place, Lillian Gill - 2nd, and Katie Howe - 3rd.

We had a fun morning with District and State FFA Officers. We worked on our leadership and team building skills. We also accomplished the largest human table in Iowa! 💙💛
Math IV students and Mrs. Edwards helped Sidney CSD Special Olympics team with measuring softball throws, long jump distances, and timing some races. They had to record distances and times before the competition this spring. It was an awesome experience for our students.

We would like to recognize Fremont-Mills Senior Kyle Kesterson on his recent accomplishment of breaking the record for career wins for both Fremont-Mills and Southwest Iowa Wrestling! Kyle ended his career with 120 wins as well as 71 pins. Congratulations to Kyle!
These first and second graders are enjoying “Crazy Hair Day” for the book, “Hair Love” as they celebrate Read Across America!
