Alicia Callahan

Mrs. Callahan, originally from Thurman, Iowa, has taught English and reading classes since 2011. The classes that Mrs. Callahan currently teaches include Reading 7, Reading 8, English I, and History through Literature (which she co-teaches with Mrs. Spellman). Mrs. Callahan is also a sponsor for the high school student council and is an assistant volleyball coach for high school.

She has an undergraduate degree from Peru State College. She also attended the University of Nebraska Omaha and earned a Masters in Literacy. Mrs. Callahan is married to her husband Ryan. Their three children are Ryker, Theo, and Kassidy. Mrs. Callahan is most proud of her family, and she loves the people at Fremont Mills.

If Mrs. Callahan could have dinner with anyone dead, or alive, she would have dinner with Elie Wiesel, author of Night and Holocaust survivor. A fun fact about her is that she does not believe that a hotdog is a sandwich.
